Who We Are:
Words of Victory Ministries is
a non-profit faith based organization that is an extension of the Media Ministry of Grove
Avenue Baptist Church in Richmond, Virginia.
Words of Victory Ministries utilizes radio, television,
and the internet as a medium for Biblical teaching and preaching.
Biblical lessons are provided by Dr. Mark Becton Senior Pastor
of Grove Avenue Baptist Church. Dr. Mark Becton is the leader
and principal spokesman for Words of Victory Ministries.
Dr. Becton holds a Doctor of Philosophy, a Master of Divinity
and a Master of Arts in Religious Education from Southwestern
Baptist Theological Seminary. He has served as pastor of
several Southern Baptist churches, including First Baptist
Church of Weatherford, Oklahoma.

Personal Statement:
My heart's desire is for people today to see and experience the greatness of God. Our frantic pace causes tunnel vision. All we see are dates and deadlines. Occasionally, we'll look up from a day-timer and ask, "Isn't there more to life than this?" God says, "Yes." We were created for a relationship, not accomplishments – to walk with God and not just run through life.

What We Believe:
There is only one God who exists in three persons: the
Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
Jesus was God in flesh, was born of a virgin, and was
both God and man. He lived a sinless life, died in our
place as a sacrifice for the sins of mankind, was buried,
arose from the grave, and ascended into heaven.
God through the Holy Spirit is at work convincing unbelievers
of their need for salvation, and is the Comforter and Guide
to every believer.
The Bible is the Word of God without error, the sole authority for life and faith. God’s Word is timeless. God’s Word has the power to change lives. God’s Word must be heard.
Our Mission:
To save the lost and strengthen the saved, therefore we at Words of Victory will…
• Give priority to Biblical preaching
– 2 Timothy 4:3-5 (1 Corinthians 1:20-22, Ephesians 4:11-13)
• Produce material to save the lost and strengthen the saved
– Ephesians 4:11-13
• Preserve financial integrity by building the Ministry as God provides
– Proverbs 24:3, 27
• Bring praise to God by serving with excellence
– Ephesians 6:7-8
